It was at Mr. Chow's celebrating a friend’s birthday where I met Jacob and his wife Angela. By that time Jacob had already earned his reputation as the Celebrity Jeweler when it came to movie stars and rock stars wearing his outrageous watches. We immediately connected; I love meeting new friends that are passionate about their craft and will do whatever it takes to go above and beyond expectations. I connected with Jacob and Angela instantly and was awed by the brand they’ve built selling spectacular jewels.

Knowing very little about them, but having read so many stories in the press, when I finally had a chance to stop in their store I felt like a kid in a candy store. With a flute of champagne in hand, a regular offering to their clients, Angela was kind enough to bring out the jewels. Magnificent, incredible, unbelievable I kept repeating to myself as some of Jacob’s oh-my-god, jaw-dropping pieces were laid in front of me. Engagement rings and wedding bands, earrings, bracelets, watches, necklaces, pins, rings, and cuff links, like a royal procession, were carried into the room on a black velvet tray, each one more spectacular than the last design and construction. Hearing about each piece and how they were made, the way diamonds are set invisibly, and how colored stones are worked into his designs, cut with such precision, I now understand all the hype. Jacob & Co. goes above and beyond, from customer service to earning their glamorous reputation as a true innovator in design and master craftsman, some items completely over the top, and some that are just, simply exquisite.
